“Discovering what true friendship is. It's not that I hadn't had friends prior to coming to Dalhousie, it's that I was never placed in a situation where I didn't know anybody. I was challenged to extend my reach to engage in new activities and encouraged to grow. I was able to fully flesh-out who I was and what I wanted to be. A solid friend group can make this so much more rewarding as they too are going through the same experience. So you learn and grow together as people, meeting people with different views, perspectives, likes, and dislikes makes this growth concrete. I have meet people and made friendships that will last a lifetime. With people from all over the world. This expands on the plethora of opportunities already provided to me at Dalhousie. This also provided me the opportunity to have negative interactions with people and I heave learned more form these than I have any of the positive ones.”Kyle M.
